Traditional extension coils run along each side of the door and rely on exposed tension, whereas torsion coils wind tightly around a central shaft, holding the stored energy in place and dramatically reducing the risk of a spring snapping or flying loose.

The change delivers more than peace of mind. Because the torque is distributed evenly across the shaft, the opener motor doesn’t have to strain on every cycle. That translates into smoother operation, fewer mid-season breakdowns, and a noticeably longer service life for rollers, bearings, and even the electric opener. During the conversion we also upgraded the center bearing and end plates, ensuring the shaft remains perfectly true.
